Our Commitment

At Raffaele Sandbach, we are committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive dining experience for all our guests. We understand that accessibility needs vary, and we aim to be transparent about the features of our premises to help you plan your visit.

Premises Access

Our restaurant has two entrances with different accessibility features.

Front Entrance: This entrance is located on Market Square (The Cobbles) and has one step leading up to the main door. Due to the historical nature of our building, this entrance is not wheelchair accessible.

Rear Entrance (Recommended Level Access): For guests requiring level access, we recommend using our rear entrance, which is situated in the rear courtyard off Penda Way (pedestrianised). This entrance provides a flat and level route directly into the main dining area. It is suitable for wheelchair users, those with pushchairs, and anyone who prefers step-free access.

Parking

Disabled Parking: Disabled parking is available on The Cobbles subject to following Cheshire East Council requirements and regulations. Raffaele Sandbach does not take any responsibility and patrons should satisfy themselves regarding the use of this area.

Parking Assistance: If you need assistance upon arrival, please contact us by phone at 01270 390045 ahead of your visit, and a member of our staff will be happy to assist you.

Inside the Restaurant

Seating: Our dining area is spacious, with a variety of seating options. We can rearrange tables to accommodate wheelchair users and other mobility devices. Please let us know at the time of booking if you require an accessible table, and we will reserve one for you.

Accessible Toilet: A wheelchair-accessible unisex toilet is located on the ground floor to the right of the rear entrance.

Flooring: The flooring throughout the main dining area is a smooth, non-slip tiled / wood surface.

Lighting and Atmosphere: The restaurant has a mixture of natural and electric lighting, and the noise level is typically low to moderate.

Additional Services

Assistance Dogs: Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas of our restaurant.

Staff Training: Our staff receive regular training on disability awareness and are happy to provide assistance. If you have any specific requirements, please do not hesitate to ask.
